Selling on the Coinbase Website

It’s quite easy to sell crypto on the Coinbase website. Here’s what to do:

  1. Login to your Coinbase account and click the “Buy/Sell” link next to “Dashboard” below the Coinbase logo.
  2. Click over to the “Sell” tab which looks something like this:

  3. Select the coin you want to sell by choosing the appropriate wallet.
  4. Next, select the account you wish to deposit to, such as your Coinbase USD Wallet.

    Note: if you want to take the money out of Coinbase you will need to have a connected back account. Click the “Add a new account” button to take care of that.

  5. Then, input the amount of BTC, BCH, ETH, or LTC you’d like to sell using your local currency or cryptocurrency. For beginners, we recommend you use your local currency.

    Note: if you’re feeling wild and crazy, use the “Sell Max” button to sell the entire balance of the selected wallet.

  6. Optionally, you can choose to to set up a repeating sell at your choice of interval.
  7. Finally, confirm your order details are correct, then click the “Sell CoinName Instantly” button.

Selling on the Coinbase App

If you’re looking to sell on-the-go, the Coinbase app has got you covered. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open the Coinbase app and log in.
  2. Next, tap the “Accounts” button in the navigation bar on the bottom. Here’s the account screen:

  3. Select the wallet holding the cryptocurrency you’d like to sell. Here’s an example of a Bitcoin wallet:

  4. Tap the “Sell” button to bring up the interface to set up your sale. It looks like this:

  5. Input the amount you’d like to sell in your local currency (recommended for beginners) or in a denomination of the cryptocurrency.
  6. Next, select the account you wish to deposit to, such as your Coinbase USD Wallet.

    Note: if you want to take the money out of Coinbase you will need to have a connected back account. Tap the “Sell from” bar then click the “Add a new account” button to take care of that.

  7. Once you’ve entered everything, tap the “Next” or “Buy” button at the top right to get to the confirmation screen.
  8. Finally, after reviewing the order, tap “Confirm Sell” and your sell order will be made.

Voila, simple as can be! If you’re looking to set up a repeating sale, you can, but you’ll have to use the Coinbase website to do so.
